Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA)
The Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA, “Grenoble Alps University”) is a public research university in Grenoble, France. Founded in 1339, it is the third largest university in France with about 60,000 students and over 3,000 researchers.
ISTerre (Insitut des Sciences de la Terre/Institute of Earth Sciences) is a joint research unit of UGA comprised of 300 people. In the last Shanghai Global Ranking in Earth Sciences, the University Grenoble Alpes is ranked 32nd in the world and in Earth sciences, UGA is ranked 24th.
